AGRICON is the leading locally grown agrochemical distributor in Indonesia. We have been committed to supporting agricultural development in the country and meeting the needs of a wide variety of customers by providing quality products and services. This has been the key of success for us at AGRICON and a philosophy that we believe lead the way forward for the agrochemical industry into the next century. We have chosen to diversity into a broader range of businesses that makes potential investment with AGRICON even more attractive. Public health and pest control, for example, have emerged in recent years as important areas of business. In addition to which we are opening our own formulation plant in West Java. Our expertise lies in knowing the market and being flexible enough to satisfy its needs. By looking to tomorrow we are investing in the future.
Inspired by the five Indonesians who believed in a healthy way of life through high quality food, PT Agriculture Construction Company Limited, also known as Agricon was established in 1969. Indonesia is the world's fourth most populous nation and agriculture plays a major role in people's lives and earning potential. It was Agricon that accepted the challenge of increasing the quality and quantity of crops for Indonesian farmers and in doing so quickly learned that a sound understanding and knowledge of farming and the needs of farmers was essential for success. Agricon is committed to helping each farmer to plant and grow their crops fruitfully by offering them guidance and advice on the right sort of pesticides to use and then how to use them effectively. From rice and corn to fruit and vegetables, Agricon has solutions and answers to make yields more productive without adverse effects on the environment. It has been a long journey to get to this point in Agricon's history but we are now one of Indonesia leading agriculture companies. We began as an importer and distributor of agrochemical products from one of the world's leading chemical companies based in Britain. As time went by, the relationship and trust between the two companies grew stronger. On in April 1994, Agricon built a pesticide plant in Gunung Putri, West Java. This was a pivotal point in the company's development and from this time Agricon took the lead, not only in pesticide distribution, but also in manufacturing on a nationwide scale. It was a historic turning point; the birth of a new era and Agricon took control of the management of the entire operation by itself. This was proof to all competitors that this dynamic new company was more capable and forward thinking than the old one. With a new strategic business plan and support from highly skilled professionals, Agricon has been able to set the highest of standards and we continue to exceed all expectations and targets. Today, our products include herbicides, fungicides and insecticides and we have branches strategically located across the vast archipelago of Indonesia. Our business affiliates are all over the world and cover United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, China, Taiwan and Malaysia. We are innovative, practical and dynamic. And we definitely stand out in the crowd! It is no surprise then that Agricon is recognized as one of the most prominent agrochemical companies in the country.

Cultures and Values
"Eat right... live healthy!" At AGRICON we believe that a good diet is the best foundation to build a productive and positive life. Good quality crops are fundamental in achieving this and we aim to bring better quality and higher quantities of complete food productions chains to a new level. There are five stages in these complete food production chains, agricultural infrastucture, planting, poor-harvest, value added production, and distribution and storage. Each play a crucial role in developing the quality of the end result and each of AGRICON's subsidiaries take on different roles to fulfill the different needs of each stage. To successfully meet the demands of high quality crop production, AGRICON provides the essential guidance needed to farmers, in every step of the food production chain process. We believe that education is a vitally important factor in improving the skills and expectations of farmers. AGRICON is committed to providing farmers with knowledge and education, training them with the skills required, walking them side by side until they have successfully completed their responsibilities in the food production chain process. AGRICON is very aware that high quality service and cost effective products are crucial to satisfy fast changing crop production needs in a challenging environment. We aim to seize opportunities without over looking the threats of the open market. A good business should be fully oriented to the needs of the community it chooses to serve and by upholding an "Outside-In" philosophy, the promise that AGRICON makes to its customers is simple. AGRICON does not give what it has. AGRICON gives what the customer needs, what the customer wants, with highest quality... and right on time.
Indonesia is a vast and beautifully diverse country dotted over more than five thousand kilometers of tropical oceans across the equator. It is the world's largest archipelago and home to over 210 million people. Blessed with an incredibly fertile volcanic soil and warm tropical climate the country is still largely agrarian and offers spectacular scenery with amazing flora and fauna. In 1984 a self-supported production drive began together with rapid plantation development across the country and it is from this time that AGRICON became Indonesia's leading supplier, manufacturer and distributor of agricultural products. In 1997, however, Indonesia suffered a major setback in its development because of a series of economic and political crisis. The depreciation of the country's currency and political uncertainty significantly affected all levels of society, trade, investment, and industry, the agricultural business included. Since this turbulent time Indonesia has begun to make progress and many opportunities have been created, particularly in agribusiness. Major agricultural products such as rice, corn, cassava, soybeans, rubber, coffee, tea, cocoa, tobacco, palm-oil, a variety of spices and timber are all experiencing positive growth and agribusiness continues to drive the economy, making in significant contribution to Indonesia's GDP, growing at a respectable 4.5% per annum over the past decade.
